Believe 2:  PERSONAL GOD

Objective:  To learn where my help comes from.

Preparing or the Lesson:

Be in prayer as you read the following:  Psalm 121:1-2, Psalm 8:3-6, Psalm 121:3-8, Psalm 139:16, Philippians 1:6, Romans 8:28, Isaiah 55:8-9 and Matthew 6:25-32.  I suggest that you read the scriptures in your version of the Bible and then read the same scriptures in another version of the Bible.

The Journey of BELIEVE 2:  Personal God:

My Thoughts:
  • I know and believe in my heart that our help comes from God.
  • I need to go to God in the bad times as well as the good times.

What are your thoughts?  I would love it if you would post your thoughts in the comments section.

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,  Please help me to put this week's key idea into practice.   I ask you God to pour out your blessings over me and my people; for our country and government, for the people who don't know God yet.  In Jesus'name we pray.  Amen.

My Thoughts:

  • The children wanted to be close to Jesus because of His gentle ways and His kindness.  He made every child feel important like being the kid of a mighty king.  He would pick up the little children in His arms, place His hands on the bigger kids and bless each one.
  • Jesus loves children!  Children believe things about God without trying to figure out everything first.
  • Jesus cares so much about you that He even warned the grown-ups; "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones.  For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven".  Matthew 18:10.
Parents as you teach your children, what are your thoughts?  I would love it if you would post your thoughts in the comments section.

Believe 1: GOD

Believe 1:  GOD

Objective:  To know who God is.

Preparing for the Lesson:

Be in prayer as you read the following:  Genesis 1:1, Romans 1:19-20, Joshua 24: 14-15, Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 3:16-17, Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:24, John 17:20-26 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-5.  I suggest that you read the scriptures in your version of the Bible and then read the same scriptures in another version of the Bible.

The Journey of BELIEVE 1: God:

 My Thoughts:
  • God called His people to be holy.  Also to loveth the stranger.  God said the sheaf is for the stranger, fatherless and for the widow.  He emphasized these things because there was a  bondsman in the land of Egypt and commanded that those things be done.
  • I believe God is the only true God.  God is three in one (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
  • I believe in God with my whole heart even to the end of my heart (apex).
What are your thoughts?  I would love it if you would post your thoughts in the comments section.

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Please help me to put this week's key idea into practice.   Help me to love you above everything else and my neighbor as myself.  Show me the things I can do to prove my love for You and my neighbor.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.

My Thoughts:
  • We want our children to experience the joy of knowing God.
  • Faith comes before understanding.  Don't worry about your child's ability to understand the Trinity, simply teach them what is true.
Some children just accept the Trinity.  Children exhibit remarkable faith.

Parents as you teach your children, what are your thoughts?  I would love it if you would post your thoughts in the comments section.
