André Rieu - You'll Never Walk Alone

Believe 8: COMPASSION

Believe 8:  COMPASSION

Objective: To learn how to show compassion to people in need.

Preparing for the Lesson:

Be in prayer as you read the following:  Nehemiah 9:1-38; Romans 3:25-26; 1 John 4:7-10; Deuteronomy 24:10-15, 17-22; Deuteronomy 25:5-10; Ruth 2:1-12; Ruth 4:13-17; Luke 10:25-37; Matthew 25:31-46; and James 1:19-2:13.   I suggest that you read the scriptures in your version of your Bible and then read the same scriptures in another version of the Bible.

The Journey of BELIEVE 8:  Compassion

My Thoughts:

  • Recently when I was in the hospital and at home for recovery, compassion was shown to me by God, by my husband and service dog and our cat, by other family members, by my Church Pastors and my Church family members and by our neighbors and other close friends too
  • There are many ways a person can help those in need.  For example, tell them about food pantries, market on the move, clothing, etc..
What are your thoughts?  I would love it if you would post your thoughts in the comments section.

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,  Please help me to put this week's key idea into practice and show me the ways I can be more compassionate and generous to those persons in need.  Amen.

The Journey of BELIEVE 7:  Humanity

My Thoughts:
  • I have a difficult time that God loves me truly and forgives me for the past things I have done wrong because I feel I don't deserve it because I have sinned against God.
  • God wants us to get along with all people.  It is hard to get along with the difficult ones because they are a challenge to us and to our faith too.
What are your thoughts?  I would love it if you would post your thoughts in the comments section.

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,  Please help me to put this week's key idea into practice.  I try so hard to be a friend to all neighbors so please help me get along with the difficult persons in my life.  Amen.
